The following sections made up the Accounts Division.
- EXPENDITURE:- This Section raises the Payment Vouchers (PVs) and does the classification and control of expenditure through vote books and register. It is also responsible for fund administration, processing of vouchers, rendering of weekly and monthly returns of expenditure on both recurrent and capital accounts of the Commission to the Accountant-General of the Federation.
- CENTRAL PAY OFFICE:- This is where the receipt and payment to members of staff and third parties are finally processed. It liaises with the Bankers of the Commission and maintains the Bank accounts, receipt books, safes, cashbooks, registers, and payment mandates.
Other Sections in the Division include Salaries, Variation Control, Advances, Checking, Bank Reconciliation and Final Accounts. There is also an Audit Query section which receives and provides responses to audit queries from the Inspectorate Department of the Office of Accountant-General of the Federation, Federal Audit, Internal Audit Unit, the Federal Inland Revenue Service and the Public Account Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly.
