Contract appointments are offered when necessary to retired Officers for one or two years in the first instance. This may be offered to expatriates only when suitable Nigerians are not available. Non-Nigerian women married to Nigerians remain on contract until granted Nigerian citizenship before being considered for permanent appointment.
