Al-Gazali commends Kenyan Government for using Nigeria Civil Service as a Benchmark.

The Honourable Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Amb. Ahmed Al- Gazali has commended the Kenyan Civil Service Commission for understudying Federal Civil Service Commission.

Amb. Al-Gazali made this remark while receiving in audience the delegation of Kenyan Civil Service Commission in his office in Abuja on Monday, October 17, 2011.

He remarked further that Kenyan government deliberately chose Nigeria as a case study for reforming its civil service because they now operate federal system having changed from a unitary form of government. He added that Nigeria and Kenya have certain things in common.

Earlier, the leader of the Kenyan delegation, Commissioner (Mrs.) Josephine Gichuhi, briefed Amb. Al-Gazali that they were in the Federal Civil Service Commission to understudy the operations of the Nigerian Civil Service as it affects the Appointment, Promotion and Discipline and appeal of Civil Servants.

Mrs Josephine also took time to explain the workings of the Kenyan Civil Service Commission through a Power Point presentation.
